The New Groove 99.3 Bakersfield’s Old School Station is looking for interns to serve in various positions. This is an opportunity to get some real experience in a very active, music intensive broadcast environment. Our interns do not fetch coffee or pick up dry cleaning. If selected, you will play an active role in radio station operations including the programming department, on-air, in-studio and audio production. This is a great opportunity to learn how a heavily promotionally active, more music radio station operates. Future employment is always possible if a position becomes available and if you prove yourself. No experience necessary (this is an internship, after all!) An interest in current events is a HUGE plus and extensive computer knowledge is and even BIGGER plus. All applicants MUST BE ENROLLED IN SCHOOL and taking a broadcast course of some kind would also be a plus. Must have reliable transportation and a willingness to learn.
